The Chevrolet Spectrum was a subcompact sedan first introduced in 1984. Discontinued following the 1989 model year, the Spectrum offered owners two four-cylinder engine options – one naturally aspirated and the other turbocharged. Gear changes were handled by either a five-speed manual transmission or a three-speed automatic.
The 1985 and 1986 models featured a singular eggcrate grille design that was framed by square sealed-beam headlights. 1988 and 1989 LS and RS trim levels offered drivers a sportier suspension setup that boasted more rigid dampers, alternate spring rates, and larger sway bars.
